Serves as the Fire Control Sergeant in a M1068 within a M109A6 155MM Field Artillery Platoon, with a world-wide contingency mission supervises fire direction operations, communications setup and maintenance orchestrates fire mission processing, fire support planning, fire support execution, movement Control and entry of commander's guidance performs troubleshooting of AFATDS hardware, software, database & communications to ensure continuity between FDC and Paladin's computer systems oversees the performance, training and accountability of eight Soldiers and organizational maintenance on section equipment valued at over $500,000. Supervises all fire mission processing, fire support planning, fire support execution, movement control, field artillery mission support, field artillery fire direction operations, and fire plan scheduling computes and verifies accuracy of firing safety data every month and updates and maintains all current situation data plans, creates, conducts, and evaluates the 13A/J manual safety program supervises the performance of all fire control operators and all organizational maintenance on section vehicles and equipment directs troubleshooting of AFATDS hardware, software, database and communications to ensure continuity of operations year-round. ![]() Serves as Senior Fire Control NCO of a Direct Support Towed Field Artillery Battalion supervises all fire direction operations including preparation for all operations and managing all fire direction operations establishes and sustains communications across all mission command platforms associated with Fire Direction and Fire Control maintains Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), primary Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), and primary tactical High Frequency (HF) Radios performs additional duties as assigned.
